Emily Rowden Fournier

Director
Emily is a co-founder and the Executive Director of Recycled Shakespeare Company. Emily is also a director with Royal River Community Players, Yarmouth. She has a BA in English Literature from Saint Anselm College, where she acted with the Abbey Players and sang soprano in the Saint Anselm College Choir. Because of her work with RSC, Emily’s alma mater named her a recipient of the 2016 10 Under 10 Alumni Award for excellence in business and community. Her short play, Fat Suit, has been selected as part of the On The Fringe theater festival at The Grand, Ellsworth, September 2019.Emily has trained in multiple styles of dance, written many short scripts, published two books of poetry, and has taught acting and theater through MSAD 49 Adult Education, Cornville Regional Charter School, and RSC. She has served as a judge at the Maine Student Acting Competition; worked as an adjudicator for the Moss Hart Memorial Award for the New England Theatre Conference; performed with Gaslight Theater, Hallowell; directed with Chimera Theater Collective’s Stage Frenzy, Portland; and served as Costume Designer for Narnia The Musical with Royal River Community Players, Yarmouth. Emily lives in Fairfield with her husband, Joshua, and their 2 dogs and 9 chickens.

Retired, mother of three children and seven grandchildren, Debra enjoys spending time with friends and family, kayaking, hiking, crafting, and taking classes at UMA.Debra serves on both costume and props committee and has been the stage manager for many RSC productions. She has been a member of the RSC board of directors since 2016, currently serving as Vice President and Secretary, and served as a judge for the 2018 & 2019 Shakespeare Slam Competitions.

Cody Curtis

Cody has been in love with the performing arts since the age of five, when he played a dog in an elementary choir, musical performance. He is a Senior at the University of Southern Maine, where he will graduate with a BA in Media Studies. Some of Cody’s past roles include Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Morse High School), Hamlet in Hamlet (Morse High School), Lennox in Macbeth (Morse High School), Giles Corey in The Crucible, Bernard in Death of a Salesman (Morse High School), The Wolf in The Wildman (Brigham Young University: Idaho) Big Jule in Guys and Dolls (The Portland Players) and most recently Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Gaslight Theater)
Theater is not Cody’s only love however. Earlier this year, he helped produce and acted in the short films: Daisies on Fire and Something About a Bike, where he played Nolan and Random Guy. After graduating USM, Cody plans to move to either Boston, or New York City to continue his pursuit of a dream and a life that brings him continuous joy.
This is Cody’s first show with Recycled Shakespeare Company and he wants to thank Emily for giving him the opportunity to be part of this organization, with a truly amazing cause. He is excited to see how this season progresses and more importantly to make new friends and castmates.

Liz Davis

Born and raised in Brewer, Maine, Liz and her husband Sam moved from Florence, SC., to the Waterville area where she is the children’s librarian at the Waterville Public Library. Her love for theater and vocal performance has been a constant throughout her life.
Liz’s most recent performances included roles in “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Mary Poppins”, “Love, Loss and What I Wore” and “Barefoot in the Park’” with Florence Little Theatre. She also enjoyed singing with Masterworks Choir of Florence.
Liz is delighted to join RSC in “The Tempest” and is looking forward to becoming a part of the creative community in Waterville.

Josh is a super geek who never thought he’d have a passion for Shakespeare. A graduate of Saint Anselm College, with a degree in Criminal Justice, he works as a team-leader for Skills, Inc. Josh is an avid Star Wars collector, enjoys going to sci-fi conventions, and likes watching Marvel movies. He lives in Fairfield with his wife, Emily, and their many pets.

Having a love of theater, a disbility, and a lack of funds, Lyn Rowden is a co-founder of Recycled Shakespeare Company, hoping to bring the experience of theater to everyone. Singing and acting since childhood, Lyn’s recent interest came from enjoying her son’s Gilbert & Sullivan performances and her daughter’s love of Shakespeare. In addition to assisting in production, artistic direction, set, publicty and treasury of RSC events, Lyn has appeared in every show including special performances at Colby, Waterville Opera House, Head of Falls, local TV in Fairfield and Belfast, and the sonnet day in NH. She enjoys bringing small roles to life in creative ways as a fairy, flirt, bard, goddess, witch, queen, producer, gossip, or servant, often with a song, always with a touch of Rude Mechanical. She lives in Fairfield with a busy household of family, friends and dogs where partying like it’s 1599 is a way of life.

Omm is a social worker at a local hospital. She has been involved in theatrical pursuits since childhood, including school performances, Maine State Music Theater, Bowdoin College Department of Theater and Dance, Masque and Gown, Masker’s Theater (now Cold Comfort Theater), and briefly with Midcoast Actor’s Studio. She lives in Vassalboro with her spouse, daughter, and two very demanding cats. This is her first Recycled Shakespeare Company production.

Ray caught the acting bug in Connecticut, where he performed with the Free at Last Players. The troupe performed at various venues across the nation including the Cultural Olympiad for the Atlanta Olympics in 1996. By profession, he has been an advocate and peer support worker for individuals living with mental health disabilities. Ray also spends far too much time with his hobby/obsession with genealogy (including genetic genealogy, which is using DNA for genealogical purposes). He brags about how he descends from someone who fell overboard the Mayflower (true) and Ray swears he inherited this grace by deeds such as locking himself to his car

Bella is in 8th grade at Mt. Blue Middle School where she has been an honor roll student. She has been in quite a few productions over the years, both in RSC and at school. Bella enjoys singing and crafts; she has sung with the KV Honors Chorus and MBMS. Musically inclined, Bella also plays violin and is learning to play the guitar. She has won two awards for public speaking. Next fall, Bella will attend as a Freshman at the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone, ME.

Lynda joined the Recycled Shakespeare Company for their Selected Works of Edgar Allan Poe and truly enjoyed the experience. She is retired from the cosmetology field, where she was an instructor at the Maine State Academy of Hair Design. Lynda currently works for Catholic Charities of Maine. She is also a certified Health Coach from Hilton Johnson Production and pursuing her master’s degree in Metaphysics.
